i do not know where to go or how to do this i have a file or something running all the time makes my pc run real slow could you please tell me where i can go for help ty larry

Please post your question in the XP Forum where experienced Members can help you. Control-alt-delete will bring up the Windows Task Manager; the Processes tab will bring up a list of applications running and indicate both how much CPU and Memory is being used. This may allow you to narrow the problem down when you post your question.
