Hi Everyone,

For a while now when ever I uninstall a program or move a file that has a shortcut to it somewhere if I try to open or right click on the shortcut my whole PC freezes for about 30-60 secs. No errors are shown and nothing appears in the Event viewer. I really don't have a clue why its doing this. Also there is no dialog saying windows cannot find the file the shortcut points to - before or after the freezing. I think its just a simple registry key.

Any suggestions?

Open the Task Manager and see if any process takes up a lot of CPU during the freeze.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
