I am using windows 2000 and I can log into Facebook but can't reply to anyones messages or do other things such as look at the list of my friends. Facebook works fine on my dads computer that uses XP. Can anyone suggest anything? Do I need to change my internet settings - or is it because I'm using windows 2000?
Thank you!
Kate

Have you previously used this computer for your Facebook account, with success or is this the first time you have tried it? Try clearing all of your cookies, history and temp. files. Which browser are you using?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

I have not used this computer successfully with facebook before. I am using internet explorer as my browser. How do I clear all of my cookies? And is this safe to do?

Thanks!

Hello,

I would reccomend this tool http://www.ccleaner.com/ it will do all the things that garmanma mentioned, (make sure you leave the advanced boxes unchecked)cleaning cookies and temp files is quite safe, a cookie is just a form of identification given to you by a server, for more information have a look at http://www.microsoft.com/info/cookies.mspx

If you are still having problems, it might be a problem with Internet Explorers settings
Regards,

Alan.
