Ok i have a sony branded CRX216E. Under Location 0 (0). Anytime theres a blank CD inside the disk player, and i click on it through My Computer, it says D:\ is not accesible. Incorrect Function. Also, when i open media player i get a message saying "Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to the Player." I get a message similar to this when i open itunes. Im assuming i accidentaly deleted some dll that I needed. Any ideas as to what this may be...and/or what i can do to fix it.

Edit: Moved topic to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Well, you could start by looking for clues in Event Viewer, What is the Event Viewer, and Should I Care - Ask Leo! - http://ask-leo.com/what_is_the_event_viewe...uld_i_care.html

And if you think system files are missing, you can always run sfc /scannow or do a repair install.

LEARN how to use SFC.EXE (system file checker) in this article! - http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html
