Several posts made well after mine have been addressed and mine has not.

I'm really not particular and I can accept if Bleeping Computer isn't going to help. It is a free service after all and being demanding is a bit silly.

Have you considered not stating in your instructions that you actually take care of people's problems order? Or at all. At least it would be honest.

Hello Modron,

All of our HJT Team helpers are volunteers but not all of them have the same skill level and expertise to deal with all types of malware. Although we try to take hijackthis logs in order (starting with the oldest), it is often the skill level of the particular helper and sometimes the operating system that dictates which logs get selected first. Some infections are more complicated than others and require a higher skill level to remove. Without that skill level attempted removal could result in disastrous results. In other instances, the helper may not be familiar with the operating system that you are using, since they use another. While I understand your frustration, in either case, you wouldn't want someone to assist you who is not familiar with your issue and attempt to fix it, would you?

Since you posted your HJT Log over five days ago, please post a link to your HJT log in the thread titled "Haven't Had A Reply In Five Days?". Please be patient. Your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible.

Thank you for understanding.

The only easy day was yesterday.

I would like to add to some other thoughts besides that the order in which logs are taken is up to the discretion of the volunteers, which Koan Yorel has expressed. Just that we have set the forum up so that it can be worked on a first come first served basis. But we get volunteers from all quarters--most have their own way of doing things and we are grateful for all the help in getting the huge backlog of posted logs handled.

Also you should know that much depends on you. The easier you make it for us, the sooner you will get help. You've posted in the five day thread now, which is helpful, but you forgot to include the link to your topic. I normally just delete such posts as not meeting the criteria for being included in that topic. I suggest you edit your post again and include the link. There is a 24 hour time limit on post editing--without a link I'll be forced to remove it.
