Problems with Firefox Install

I downloaded and installed firefox today and found it was slow losding my webpages and all the word's were grainy.
Anyone have an idea?
my java is also up to date Jre6.03
god my head hurts.

Try some troubleshooting with Websites Look Wrong.
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.

Besides TMack's suggestion, go to Tools>Add-Ons, and if DOM Inspector is listed, remove it. It's supposed to remove itself upon reboot, but sometimes it doesn't
