Booting To 2nd Partition

I have a hard drive with two partitions: C:\ and D:\. Can I set it so that the computer boots to D:\?

Windows XP SP2 on both partitions.

I haven't actually installed the second partition yet, so I don't know what will happen. I can install it and see what happens, if you think I should.
