Hello Everyone,

If you are not familiar with my previous post, please see 'Problems while installing software (XP)' I really don't want to waste space by repeating all of that.

I'm grasping at straws right now, I have not been able to find anything even remotely like this, and there are no response to me earlier post, the one mentioned above.

Is it possible that there is an install that is still trying to work, in the background? I have kill the process on some of the installations that appear to hang. Could the installer be hung in the middle of some other installation?

If so, any ideas how I would kill it?

Thanks,

Jim

Just an FYI

I think (the jury is still out on this) I may have fixed the problem.

I was having a problem where I could not get the properties of a folder, not the file(s) but folder, would not display. Searching the web I found a solution (if you are interested in the solution look in this forum, for one of my posts, it was a problem with file folder properties. In a nutshell I had to get a service World Wide Web Publishing to start. Since fixing this, every one of my installs have completed as one would thin they should.
