On WindowsXP SP2, fully updated.

What I've Done
I've been trying to clean my computer for days. I downloaded ComcastSecurity: McAfee SecurityCenter last night. McAfee, AdAware07, and Spybot scans bring up nothing that I have not fixed. AdAware found and removed Win32. Spybot found Virtumonde and removed what it could, with the warning that that was probably not everything. McAfee found Vundo and after a couple tries at removing it, claims it's gone now.

What's Going On
I still get popups, IE tends to freeze up, and System Restore is acting oddly. Besides the fact that it doesn't work (attempted before installing McAfee), it refuses to display any month before December. There appear to be no Restore Points earlier than December 19. ClamWin found the following after a scan of programs in the computer memory:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\gebyw.dll: W32.Prep FOUND
C:\WINDOWS\system32\qwgcrket.dll: Trojan.Agent-68 FOUND
I looked and both these files were created December 19.

I thank you for your help.

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum KingLear
My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

You have ClamWin and Norton Antivirus and McAfee installed.
Its definitely not a good idea to have more than one antivirus program installed on your computer.
Each program may interpret the actions of the other as viral, therefore giving you false virus warnings about virus-related activities.
It could also lead to system slowdowns and other problems within the operating system, due to the two conflicting with each other.
You should uninstall two of them now, then restart your pc.

If you decide to uninstall Symantec/Norton,if there is no uninstaller available in Add\Remove Programs then you will need to download and run the Norton Removal Tool:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...005033108162039
*Please Note*
The Norton Removal Tool will remove all Norton/Symantec products from your pc.

Your version of Sun Java is out of date.
Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.
Please follow these steps to remove older versions of Sun Java, and then update.
1. Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
2. Scroll down to where it says 'Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 update 3'.
3. Click the "Download" button to the right.
4. Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
5. The page will refresh.
6. Click on the link to download 'Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language' and save to your desktop.
7. Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
8. Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
9. Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
10. Click the Change/Remove button.
11. Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java version.
12. Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
13. Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u3-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

If you have previously downloaded ComboFix,please delete that version now.
Warning
You should NOT use Combofix unless you have been instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert.
It is intended by its creator to be used under the guidance and supervision of an expert, not for private use.
Using this tool incorrectly could render your system/pc inoperable.

Now download Combofix and save to your desktop:
Note
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Note
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt unless I ask.
Note
In case your Antivirus or any other realtime scanner is displaying an alert after you downloaded Combofix or while you use Combofix, please disable your scanner and redownload Combofix again.
Some scanners may see some combofix related components as suspicious and block or delete them while there's nothing wrong with them.

Now go to:
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe
Right click on Hijackthis.exe and select 'Rename', rename it to abc.bat
Double click on abc.bat(which is still Hijackthis.exe),post that log into your next reply please.

Download RenV.exe to your desktop, double click to run it:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/Beta/RenV.exe
When its finished it will produce a Log.
Please post the contents of that Log into your next reply.

Download FindAWF.exe and save it to your desktop:
http://noahdfear.geekstogo.com/FindAWF.exe
Double-click on the FindAWF.exe file to run it.
It will open a command prompt and ask you to "Press any key to continue".
Press any key and the FindAWF tool will begin scanning your computer for the infected AWF files and the backups the trojan created.
It may take a few minutes to complete so be patient.
When it is complete, it will open a text file in notepad called AWF.txt which will automatically be saved to your desktop or whatever location you ran the file from.
Copy and paste the contents of the AWF.txt file in your next reply.

Refering to the picture above, drag Log.txt into RenV.exe
When finished, it shall produce a new log for you.
Post that log in your next reply.

Double-click FindAWF.exe to start the tool.
Select option #2 - Restore files from bak folders by typing 2 and press 'Enter'
A text file will open up.
Please copy and paste the following bold text inside the quote box below into the text file:

"C:\hp\KBD\bak\KBD.EXE"
"C:\Program Files\Linksys EasyLink Advisor\bak\LinksysAgent.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Multimedia Card Reader\bak\shwicon2k.exe"
"C:\Program Files\QuickTime\bak\qttask.exe"
"C:\WINDOWS\CREATOR\bak\Remind_XP.exe"
"C:\WINDOWS\SMINST\bak\RECGUARD.EXE"
"C:\WINDOWS\system\bak\hpsysdrv.DAT"
"C:\WINDOWS\system\bak\hpsysdrv.exe"
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\bak\hphmon05.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\bak\ccApp.exe"
"C:\Program Files\HP\{45B6180B-DCAB-4093-8EE8-6164457517F0}\bak\hphupd05.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared\bak\WkUFind.exe"

"C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin\bak\jusched.exe"

Close the files.txt and click Yes to save the changes.
FindAWF will now terminate the bad processes if running, delete the bad files and restore/replace them with the good files.
Then it will open a log.
Copy and paste the contents of that log in your next reply.

Thats better,you're doing great

Double-click FindAWF.exe to start the tool.
Select option #2 - Restore files from bak folders by typing 2 and press 'Enter'
A text file will open up.
Please copy and paste the following bold text inside the quote box below into the text file:

"C:\Program Files\Linksys EasyLink Advisor\bak\LinksysAgent.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\bak\realsched.exe"

Close the files.txt and click Yes to save the changes.
FindAWF will now terminate the bad processes if running, delete the bad files and restore/replace them with the good files.
Then it will open a log.
Copy and paste the contents of that log in your next reply.
