Hi Guys,

digged out my very old (from 1999) favorite Hell-Copter from Ubisoft, cleaned the dust and installed it. Everything seemed ok until I launched it - NOGO. It wouldn't eaven access the cd.
Checked the homepage from Ubisoft for any patches - found no entries for the game at all;

Got the following errors:

1. Incorrect version of Windows: Sorry, not supported on Windows NT.

2. After I switched the compatibility to Win 95, 98 or 2000:

Hcopter exe - application error: The command in "0x0041e558" refers to memory in "0x8003f404".
Operation "read" could not be performed on memory.
Click "ok" to end program.
Click "abort" to debug program.

No matter what I click after that - I'm just out of it.

Any suggestions?? Looking forward to it! :thumbsup:

A lot of the old 95 & 98 games won't run on XP. There is a free program called Dosbox that is supposed to help you run those old games on XP. I've not used it so I'm not sure if it works. You might want to give it a try.. :thumbsup:

Hey thanks for the hint!

Checked the program and it seemed rather complicated... I don't like to work with dos... But I'll try it out! :thumbsup:

Just checked a tutorial for dosbox. That seems to be a pretty complicated issue, working in dos and stuff...
Isn't there an other possibility?? Would be very thankful.

Not that I know of, seems like there was another one out there but I don't know what it was. You might want to look in the "Free full computer games" topic here. There are links to sites that carry the old games, maybe they list another program. :thumbsup:
