Try removing it in "Safe Mode".

Download FileASSASSIN.zip and save to your desktop (this tool is compatible with Win 2000/NT/XP/Vista only).
  • Create a new folder on your C:\ drive called FileASSASSIN and extract (unzip) the file to that folder. (Click here for information on how to do this if not sure. Win 9x/2000 users click here.)
  • Open the folder and double-click on FileASSASSIN.exe.
  • Select the file to delete by dragging it onto the text area or select it using the (...) browse button.
  • Select a removal method. Start with the default "Attempt FileASSASSIN's method of file removal"
  • Click delete and the removal process will begin.
  • If that did not work, start the program again, select the file(s) the same way as before and this time check "Use delete on reboot function from windows."

SUPERAntispyware is one of the most effective anti-malware scanners available so I don't recommend that you uninstall it. If you insist, then reinstall and uninstall from safe mode.

Hey there,

*Download and install Unlocker 1.8.5. (Please save the download file to Desktop)
* Open the installation file, select the installation language and click "Ok".
* An installation wizard will pop up, click "Next".
* Choose the default destination folder C:\Programs Files\Unlocker and click "Next".
* Click "Install" directly. (Don't change anything)

* After the installation completes, go back to the file/folder you want to delete.
* Right-click on the file/folder and select "Unlocker".
* There should be a window opening, select "Unlock all".
* Now you should be able to delete your file.

Note: The above is to tell you how to use unlocker to remove files and folders that could have been left behind by an infection. Since the post above advised you not to remove it, perhaps you should keep that folder.

Lt.

Unlocker is not needed to remove SUPERAntispyware. It simply needs to be uninstalled from safe mode.

Yes, I saw what you said, I'm just saying that he can use it to remove future files/folders left behind by infections. It is a rather useful tool for doing that.

The free version does not run in real-time mode...a purchased upgrade to the "Professional" version is required before this option can be activated. See SUPERAntiSpyware Free vs Pro Comparison Features. If you use the free version, use it as an on-demand scanner...no need to run at startup.
