Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum lock n loki
My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
When VundoFix re-opens,click the "Scan for Vundo" button.
Once it's done scanning, click the "Remove Vundo" button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click "YES".
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed,it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click "OK".
Post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt into your next reply.
Note:
It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case,VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
* Close all other windows before proceeding.
* Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
* When it has finished, DSS will open two Notepads: main.txt and extra.txt
* Use Save As to save both Notepad files to your Desktop and post them in your next reply.

Hi Richie, thanks for the help,

Ive followed your instructions with both applications.

I ran vundofix and it came up with nothing found. I tried to follow your instructions and pressed 'remove' to which it closed itself.

I then ran DSS (Im a bit worried about posting the info as it all looks a bit personal) but here is the first notepad log

If you do need the other then I guess i'll have to trust you but as you can imagine, to a noob like myself, when it comes up with a warning before scanning and the you see all my computers ID codes its a little scarey!

Anyway, thanks again for your time, I appreciate the help

Hi Richie

I have installed and ran super anti-spyware and it removed three items

I copied, pasted and ran the changes that you advised and have also obtained a new Hijack This log.

After restarting my computer the error message didnt pop up so im hoping that whatever it was you've now fixed.

Heres both log files

Clear all temporary files using Disk Cleanup.
To run Disk Cleanup on Vista, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, and then click Computer.

2. Right-click the drive you want to clean, and then click Properties. On the Properties dialog, click Disk Cleanup.

3. Click either My Files Only or Files From All Users On This Computer.

4. On the Disk Cleanup tab, select the files to delete, and then click OK.

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting 'Fix checked'.
Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {2D5796A2-44E0-4E50-A5A0-80BF1EE3EA73} - C:\Windows\system32\iiffgfe.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [cmds] rundll32.exe C:\Users\Gaz\AppData\Local\Temp\wvuvu.dll,c

Restart your pc.
Post a new Hijackthis log.

Disable Windows Defender's real-time protection,as it may interfere.
* Open Microsoft Windows Defender. Click Start>All Programs>Windows Defender.
* Click on 'Tools'>'Options'.
* Under 'Real-time protection options', unselect the 'Turn on real-time protection' check box
* Click 'Save'.

Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE using the F8 method.
To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly.
A menu will appear with several options.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Restart normally, post a new Hijackthis log please.

I managed to delete - O2 - BHO: (no name) - {2D5796A2-44E0-4E50-A5A0-80BF1EE3EA73} - C:\Windows\system32\iiffgfe.dll (file missing) as you advised

I still could not find and delete - O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [cmds] rundll32.exe C:\Users\Gaz\AppData\Local\Temp\wvuvu.dll,c

There only seems to be four '04 - HKCU' entries and none of them appear to be the one stated.

I do apologise for my stupidity if it is me but i really cant find the above entry.

After restart, all appeared to be well with no pop error message.

I was just looking at the HJT log I pasted.

For some reason it is still showing log entry -

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {2D5796A2-44E0-4E50-A5A0-80BF1EE3EA73} - C:\Windows\system32\iiffgfe.dll (file missing)

Ive ran HJT again and it is not shown within the program but again was added in the notepad document.

Do you have any idea as to why this is happening?
