Outlook Express email problem

can anybody out there help me with a outlook express problem my girl friend is having with her e-mail. she has charter as her internet provider, any e-mails she gets such as a hallmark e-card or a video and song from you tube it will not open. if we go to charter.net and acess it the e-mail will open then. any e-mail with picture attachment will open though in outlook express. i am new to this stuff and need some help

Are the items that won't open links in the body of the mail?
If so, it's possible that an over-active popup blocker is
preventing the links from opening.
To find out if this is the case, hold down the ctrl key while
clicking on the link. If it opens, you will know for sure it's the
popup blocker.

She should check her Tools-Options-Security Tab in OE. She might be blocking it there too.
