Chipset Bios Update?

It appears to me that my computer is getting out of date at an exponential rate. I have been told in the past while trying to debug a problem that my Chipset BIOS or driver was way out of date. It shows a driver date of 02-01-2002. My question is, is this something I should correct? If it is have you got a suggestion on how. I have attempted to fix this repeatedly to no avail.

Pentium 4 CPU 2.0GHz
1.0 GB RAM

The chipset driver available from Dell is slightly later in date, 9/20/2002. You could install the update and see if it resolves the issue you're having:
