Hi,
I am having issues with my inability to burn data CD's. I can burn audio CD's, but not one's that have data.
My computer runs Windows 2000 Professional. I have an external CD burner. I use Windows Media Player 9 and can burn audio CD's without any problem, but I do not know how to burn data CD's in WMP, or maybe this version of WMP does not include data CD's.
Also, I have Nero on my computer. I have taken all the steps to burn CD's in this program but it never works. I drag the data files that I want to burn and click on Burn. The burn process begins and ends in about 5 seconds. Then I receive a message that the 'burn has been successful, but there is no data on the CD.

Any thoughts on this?
thanks,
rlight

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.

I have used Nero Express.
I put the data that I want to burn into the Data Content window and then click 'Next'. The window that opens is 'Final Burn Settings' and then click 'Burn'. The next window shows the burning progress, however it acts as though it is beginning to burn the CD which takes about 5 seconds and a box appears that says 'Burn Has Been Successful', but it hasn't burned anything, the CD is empty.
