My work requires that I access one of service providers web sites numerous times throughout the day. The problem is that after about ten minutes of inactivity, the site times out, and requires me to log in again.

It seems that I used to have a little applet, that pinged the site and kept it alive. that was several years ago though, and I've forgotten the correct terminology to even google whether such a program exist, though I'm sure it must. Any help is appreciated.

The Ping Page has lists of a number of ping utilities (scroll about half-way down the page).

I found it by doing a Google search using the keywords "applet" and "ping." There are a number of other resources there, as well.

Hope this helps.
