HELLO ALL, I'm very happy to be here. Of course this sight has a great reputation. I've come here a number of times for advice and I decided it would be a great idea to join the group. I'm in Chicago and an attorney; mostly criminal work. I'm always happy to answer a question but I'm really only an expert on Illinois law (send to my e-mail. Also I'm an expert on sleep meds) :flowers: . I'm divorced since '90 and just had my 49th birthday. My favorite present was an external hard drive. It's a Seagate 250 GB. I hope it is a good brand. I am pretty uneducated when it comes to computers although I've had my Sony VAIO desktop for almost six years. It has Win XP Professional. I'm sorry that I didn't look up the specs on the system. I do know I added memory chips and at the time I was freaked about opening the computer. It now has over 1000 MBs of memory (I think that is correct - I'm terrible with math). Now I open it once in a while to keep it clean. A crash taught me to look up everything and don't do anything I don't understand completely. I think it is 512 something. I have an AOL screen name because I've had it since AOL started up. Everyone knows the name, including those I work with. Also, Dad shares the account with me and that is his browser. It's the old saying :You can't teach a 70 yr old new tricks, although he told me about Firefox. I think all the add ons and choices confused him and he took it off his computer while I use it all the time, but I still need to learn more about it. I really dislike AOL. I have severe insomnia so many of my posts are around 3:35 am LOL, like right now. Presently I'm recovering from surgery and working part time. I'm in no hurry to get back to the death penalty office. If this turns out blue that is my color for the Cubbies. I don't want to take up all your time. I'm happy to answer questions. I'm much better at asking than answering. I crashed about 6 months ago and the Geek Squad came out. I was down $300 and I learned to backup, backup, backup. The registry freaks me out. OK, I'll let you go. I'm really looking forward to learning here. Everyone have a Great New Year.
Take Care,
Dawn :-)
