sorry, i didn't explore the forum before posting this in windows xp.....so..

well, my issue started with googling and clicking the link I wanted and being hijacked to other websites usually shopping sites etc...then got a message from a mcafee pop up ( system suite 8.0 is what I have) regards my mcafee needing to be downloaded again ....so I attempted that, the mcafee download page will not display, I get a server not available error...I have spoken with the mcafee forum folks...have followed mcafee uninstall directions etc....cannot get it to download after that either...they suggested running super antispy, which I did, on top of that I already have enigma spyhunter and spysweeper.....which I have used , nothing seems to b able to clear the issue...

I went to the Microsoft site to DL sp2 which I did nt have and mcafee strongly suggested I need, well, when I went to download sp2 I got a page display erorr too. I followed the instructions re: this error download error - 0x80072EE7, and it stopped me from being able to get out on the net as it showed my connection as connected without me having to start the dsl connection to connect...and the connection was not valid as all my links etc. were offline...

I also have a mwssrcas.dll running according to the super spy site I should delete it but it won't delete,, even when offline with everything closed, I attempt to delete it and it says it is in use...I cannot delete it..

So thatís were I am at....any help or advice would be appreciated...

I ran the hijack this

Hi and welcome to Bleeping Computer! My name is Sam and I will be helping you.
I apologize for the delay getting to your log, the helpers here are very busy.

If you still need help, please post a fresh Hijackthis log, in this thread, so I can help you with your malware problems.
If you have resolved this issue please let us know.
Posted Image If I have helped you in any way, please consider a donation to help me continue the fight against malware.

Failing to respond back to the person that is giving up their own time to help you not only is insensitive and disrespectful, but it guarantees that you will never receive help from me again. Please thank your helpers and there will always be help here when you need it!
