A permament Red X is on my Transaction Security, it reads as follows: "your browser is not set to detect fradulent Web sites or to authenticate genuine Web sites".

I tried every fix Norton has, have e-mailed, called, all to no avail.

I downloaded from their site and have tried to get them to send a disc so I could reinstall but can't get that done.

I believe Norton has slowed my system. It is the only one I have installed.

Thank you

That message indicates the Transaction Security feature has not been activated.

Although Norton is as good as any other well known anti-virus program, it is known to be a resource hog that can slow down your system. NAV requires numerous services and running processes that consume a lot of system resources and often results in complaints of high CPU usage. Further Norton products can be difficult to remove.
