Internet/intranet....

I set up my wireless internet today, and was setting up my dads work laptop to conenct to our wireless.

So it connected, but its on the companys intranet when i open internet explorer is there anyway around this?

Dont wanna take off the intranet or anything, so if its possible please help :thumbsup:

It depends on how the work wireless is setup - you'll have to setup an alternate connection in the wireless connections for the home connection. I'd suggest checking with the folks at work to ensure that you don't change anything essential for their connection.

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

so whatis the question? ok so you open up IE , what happens does IE try to go to your dad's co's web site.? Just go up to the address bar highlight the address there and type in msn.com then enter.

When i open IE its just blank and up the top says......intranet and then when u try and put another address in it doesnt do anything.

try
click start
then run
then type cmd
then enter
type ipconfig/release
...wait for results
then ipconfig/renew

....your Dad may need to do the same at work
this comand does not change anything, just forces the natural DHCP progression of handing out an ip address.
