If one opens the startup tab in msconfig and there, along the list of items, is a checked box without any text or description of what program is affected, what does this mean? Thanks.

Looks innocent. I'll just leave it rather than bother with RegEdit. Thanks.

You could check out that entry with AutoRuns.

A blank item is just that ... a blank item - what it does can be innocent, can be dangerous, or can be a broken thing that needs fixing. Check it out with Autoruns like Budapest suggests. Once you know what it is, then you can make a fully informed decision as what to do with it.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
