I just had 2 bugcheck 117 BSOD's during the last couple of hours on this computer. WTF!!! I didn't see no BSOD!!! Now I know that I'm visually impaired, but I can tell the difference between a blue and white screen and a screen with a bunch of colors!

Seriously, Windows error reporting told me about it and found a solution while I was working. The BCCode 117 is a video driver error and it recommends that I update the drivers.

I had some glitches over the last several hours tho' - so maybe it's time for a fresh install. Maybe I'll go with 64 bit Vista, some more RAM, and a quad core?

Since XP SP2, Windows computers reboot rather than show the BSOD. This error normally occurs at startup, so maybe your PC booted, hit the BSOD and restarted without you noticing?
Check your DRAM timings in the BIOS. If you've tinkered with them, that can knock Vista for six when it tries to start

It's possible that I missed an error message - but I was at the computer constantly and would have noticed a spontaneous reboot. But, I wonder if it was a BSOD that occurred when I rebooted - then, expecting the reboot, I wouldn't have noticed the BSOD.

I can't recall if I'd changed the setting to halt on error messages - so I'll have to check that once I reboot into that OS (just installed 64 bit Vista and haven't been back to the 32 bit version since XMas day).
