Hi, hope someone can help me with this....

I had a virus through msn (my son clicked on a link that said something like "is this really a picture of you") - which caused problems with msn itself.

I ran adaware and spybot search & destroy - removed several items
Ran a full system scan with Norton and removed several more items (including the use of autoruns)
Ran stinger and removed more stuff.

PC was running fine after this last night, but when I tried to start it today it struggles to start up - cpu is running at 100% almost constantly, but there is no one particular process that is using it. I can start in safe mode fine, but no amount of re-booting or scanning seems to be making anything any better.

My HJT log follows...thanks in advance for any help.
Dan.

I have resolved this problem by re-installing windows - I know it's perhaps a bit extreme, but it probably needed doing anyway, it has been nearly 2 years since it was last done.

Thanks for being here anyway - I'm sure I'll be back needing help sometime (especialy if my kids keep using the pc) :-)
Dan.
