Ie Will Not Work Unless I Repair The Connection

A problem has recently cropped up... when I launch IE7, it will not download the page unless I repair the connection.. I am connected directly to a cable modem.. The cable company can look at my connection... from their end, they see no problem. But in order for me to move to a new web page, I have to repair the connection again. If I gom to email, again, can't load emails or move among emails unless I repair the connection...
