How To Rip A Dvd Into A Ipod Format?

Hi there everyone,

Can someone please help me out with something? I want no bs of any kind just a true straight up answers... Anyways what I am having a problem with is I want to take a dvd and rip it into a iPod format so I can put it onto my 160gb iPod? Please I'm like very new at this and I would really like to get some help with this if possible, I've asked allot of people in stores such as bestbuy, futureshop. etc. and all it seems that all they want is MONEY insteed of being honest!! So that's why I am asking anyone in this site if they know of a very easy to use program that's either buy it in a store in Vancouver, BC canada or FREEWARE from the site.. Please I am bagging anyone do not sudjest anything if it's getting me to run around in a circle or with a chicken with it's head chopped off...

I am really stuck on this one, I don't honestly know on what is a great software that is very simple as 1,2,3 to use?

Here's a list of articles, on how to convert DVD to iPod

Most use freeware.
I haven't used any of the programs mentioned, so I can't comment on their, ease of use.

Glancing through the tutorials, this looked like a pretty easy one to follow (9 Steps), and it uses all freeware:
Convert DVD to iPhone
