I deleted some files to download XP home on my laptop. When I went to restart the laptop.it went into safe mode. Now I can't open any windows to reinstall windows 98se. :thumbsup: Some how the configuration is gone? Please help me get my laptop back on windows

Also be certain to shut your computer all of the way down before you load Windows, don't just reboot. I've seen similar situations.

are you saying that at present the XP computer is now only booting into safe mode?or a computer running winows 98SE will only now boot into safe mode? do you recall what files you did delete ?
