Hi all.. new here, first post. I've been using this site lately a lot for repairs to my computer. Great site with lots of answers! I decieded to join since I am in need of help. I am pretty good with computers. I recently did a full format on my Gateway due to many un-needed programs, malware, spyway, and viruses. I the disc that came with the computer was out of date or something, so I had to order another from Gateway. Went through with the installation of Windows XP, but never got to setting up things like time and computer name. Now the computer just restarts, and you get 30 seconds to decide whether you want to 'Start Windows Normally', or 3 different types of safe mode. None of the options work, and it just resets and goes to the same screen. Any idea's???

Maybe you should format and try reinstalling windows again. Make sure the disc is clean so there isn't any corruption.

Did you do a full install and re-enter the product key?
