I tried to put Nero 7 on a new laptop with Vista already loaded. It hung up and I have tried unsuccessfully to uninstall using both the uninstall option on the Nero disc and also the uninstall option in the Vista controll panel. It hangs during the validation and says there is a problem. I have also tried uninstalling in safe mode. Nothing works! Any ideas. I am at the point where I would like to just start over with this computer, but Vista was preloaded and I have no discs. Help!

Try the Nero CleanTool here: http://www.nero.com/enu/downloads-cleantools.html

Make sure to "Run as Windows XP" and to "Run as Administrator"
You may also want to shut off UAC while doing this.

Using the Vista compatibility mode - right click on the installer for the CleanTool and select Properties, then select the Compatibility tab.
