After about 5 minutes after starting windows media player 11 an error message that reads "if you were in the middle of something the information you were working on might be lost

always comes up and the media player has to stop.

i have read through the online trouble shooting stuff and am unsure, what to do.

I do not know how to remedy this problem, and any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Henry

Your post does not state what OS you are using.. so there could be a rights issue, a corrupt MP, or a host of other things. What is it that you are trying to play, or is it ANYTHING? Since I only have XP, I can only reference that (no Vista yet). Have you checked your Event Viewer (Control Panel-Adminitrative Tools-Event Viewer). Look for Media Player errors in System, then Application and even Internet Explorer (that could be the problem). Some times there are error codes you can go right to MS to look up on their site. You can also go directly to their help site, where there are millions of posts.. you could be awhile  :

I am using xp mediacenter edition, also i cannot add files to library because it reads
"The instruction at "0x037e0002" referenced memory at "0x61674120". THe memory could not be "written".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program"

I have tried to do this many times any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Henry
