Does anyone else have or have a solution to this problem?

These bloody useless ads (usually for mobile phones, sky casinos or alike) have NO relavance to my interests/hobbies or the page I was on - i cld see the point if the info was at least remotely usefull/interesting. When i get one of these popups; whatever i ws doing at the time seems to refresh itself leaving me with a 1280 x 768 screen res with no way back other than to close what i was doing and login again. this may sound a bit petty and even as i type this i am calming doing somewhat but i know its only a matter of time b4 i recieve another page of this unsolicited junk.

Please help!!!!

Use the Add/Remove program to find and uninstall "uptown Engine.

Suggest you also scan with the two programs below.

Download and Install Super Antispyware free. Reboot into Safe mode and Run SAS. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Post back with scan results and for further instructions.
