Hello, I'm here as a first time user. I just posted a log because I'm getting an error 0x80508018 from Windows Defender. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to the Forum Jon M. Please be patient. They are a very busy group right now,but they will properly help yoou and they should be the ONLY advice you take til it's fixed.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

Hi Jon M,

It may take a while to get a response but your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible.
If after 5 days you still have received no response, then post a link to your HJT log in the thread titled "Haven't Had A Reply In Five Days?".

In the meantime, please take a moment and visit the New User Orientation section, to get familiarized with how the board works.

There is also an extensive Tutorials section, that offers a wide range of information and solutions.
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.
