After entering my email information on that darn website, my AVG virus scan detected a change in c:\\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\etc\HOSTS.
Upon researching the few threads regarding this find, I am very worried that the website has done something to my computer.

My hotmail screen has gone hay wire with uncontained tabs all over the place and as I scroll down, the 'compose a new message' and 'contacts' windoes are all in a page. Multiple contacts of mine were selected (not by me). Is this a case of 'caught in the act'? I tried another internet browser, Mozilla, but the screen was as messy.

Following the instructions regarding checking my hosts file, I do have a link following 127.0.0.1 localhost.

Is this a cause for worry?
AVG anti-spyware kept detecting tracking cookies, and HouseCall made my keyboard of the laptop give of strange beeping sounds.
Following that, here is my HijackThis log (after several nights of fretful sleep). Please help!

Here's my log!

Following the instructions regarding checking my hosts file, I do have a link following 127.0.0.1 localhost.

And after weeks of daily anti-spyware scans, today when i dared to log on to msn, the username and personal msg of my account was changed to the promotion of that darn website! And I thought the problem had gone away! Is this a virus, trojan etc, or a irritating spyware? I dont want to infect my msn contacts or other computer whenever i log onto msn! Will the problem solve itself if i create a new email account and delete the old, 'infected' one?

Thanks for helping!!!! :D

I guess AVG doesn't like that spybot places protection in your Host file. That is the only thing i see there. The msn problem, i really don't know. I'm pretty certain its not malware related, but more of IE7 and the fact that its running in Protected mode. If you have anymore questions, just let me know.

*sobs in relief* really?! Not malware related? Oh so AVG is not that compatible with Spybot and that's why AVG scan detected that hosts file is changed? But how bout that extra "::1 local hosts" thing that popped out when another thread said that there shouldnt be anything after in the first list of things I have posted? Is it cuz of the AVG issue too? Should I solve this problem by just deleting Spybot? And should I clear the AVG scan cache or to make it accept the changes to the host file along with my changed shell32 and ntoskrnl?

Hmm I dont know whether my IE7 is in Protected mode or not. But can I say that the problem does not lie within my com but with my msn account itself? Have you heard of anything about this "you are blocked.com"? Whether it is a virus or malware or trojan?

Im off to create a new msn account! I do not want my nickname and personal message changed by some faceles entity anymore!! >_<

Please lay to rest my remaining doubts and

Some Anti-Spyware programs will clash, if you run them together. I will leave it up to you. About MSN, i really don't know what's going on. Have you tried logging on?? Do you have your password set to Remember Password?? If so, i wouldn't check that.
