I am running Vista Home Premium. I checked the performance, information and tools under control panel. Then clicked advance tools and noticed where it said "programs are causing Windows to shut down slowly". I clicked to find out what programs would be causing this and it says name unknown filename start.exe I did a search and the program is in WIN_17.CAB and the description is an application. I then did a Google search and it says this may be adware or spyware, but also says start.exe relates to the Domain Logon Script authoring tool which is a small utility designed for implementing Microsoft Networks. I was wondering if I can stop the application or remove it by deleting the CAB file or is their another way to remove this file. Or should I just leave it there.
