Ok, maybe some of you guys know about about a virus that leaves a folder named "runauto" inside a pc or pendrive. After a good cleanup also I cant get rid of the folder in cmd prompt. Worst yet, my collegue runs an AVAST and cleansed all, and I lost control of cmd, cant execute .bat, .cmd and if I can get in prompt is only by run>command.com . But, no command like dir or ping is working inside that environment. I would like to do a system restore but, that will invite back the problem i faced and I still have that "runauto" folder inside my pc. Any suggestions?

ps: yes I heard about fixshell software or was it fixauto..but I cant seem to get the link to it for it has been broken from its domain.

Sounds like you still have some bits and pieces still lurking about. I'd try here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/ It's a little further down the main forum page
Good Luck

I did made a search and they promote a software that is now nowhere to be find. And it is an aftermath inflicted after I clean the pc. Again thanks for the fast reply but what I need to know is..even when I see my msconfig, cmd.exe inside my windows folder, why cant I run it from my run command and even after double clicking on it inside the directory folder? Is it some kind of broken link inside my registry? Thanks again for the reply. And the runauto.. folder still hides as hidden folder and cant be delete. But I can assure there's no more virus inside my pc. :flowers:
