I use full Outlook 2004 with Cox Internet. I have the Cox server set to save messages on the server. Seems like I saw an option in Outlook though, where when you EMPTY your deleted items folder, it would AUTOMATICALLY delete the messages from the SERVER. Did I just see this in OE, or is there a way in full Outlook - I can't find it. Can someone help me navigate to this option? Thanks a bunch.

That should have of course been Outlook 2003 (fumble fingers).

Instructions can be found
HERE-scroll down to Email Delivery Options in Outlook 2003

You did indeed see the same option in Outlook Express.

Thanks, that's what I needed. Now it just doesn't seem to be working on the server end. Guess I'll try to hassle them  Thanks again.

The server finally deleted those emails. Now I have an OE account I need to set up the same way. Do you have instructions for doing the same thing in OE? I can't find it there again, sorry. Thanks.

Cox High speed Internet Technical Support

From there, click the pull down next to 'Home', which says 'Learning Center' Then click 'OE for windows'.

Thanks for the reply. That's not quite as good as what full Outlook does, but what do you expect?
