I just bought an Acer Aspire 4520-5803 a couple days ago. It's running Vista Home Premium 32 bit with an NVIDIA GeForce 7000M video card. At random times, the laptop will do one of two things. It will either freeze up and the screen goes blank, or the screen goes gray with diaganol lines with the laptop still running in the background. I really can't say what is causing this. It happens randomly. When gray lines appear, the laptop still seems to be running things in the background. Close the laptop, open it back up and it's fine. When the screen turns off, right before, everything locks up then screen shuts off. Laptop still has power as if it is on. When rebooted it says that the problem was with NVIDIA. Please Help!!!! I emptied my bank account for this as a gift for my fiancee. I only have a couple days left to return it if I should. Thanks in advance!!!
