Hi there. Somehow, my daughter has changed the passcode to log on to my computer. I am only able to use it as a guest. Apparently, my administrator privileges are not accessible as a guest on the computer. For instance, I tried to get updates at Windows Update and it said I don't have administrator privileges. I took it in to the shop about 2 years ago because of this same thing and when I got it back it just bypassed the login. I never did find out what the log in was then either. Will I have to take it back in to the shop to have them figure it out or is there any ideas you can give me?Anyway, theres my story. Thanks for any info you might have about this. Sincerely, Carrie

Hello ccathlene68,

It is against the policy of BleepingComputer to provide information on methods to reset or bypass the Administrator password. Though your question is most likely legitimate, there are others who may read this topic and use the information for less savory reasons. It is for these reasons we do not provide this type of information.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a private message or an email. Thank you for your understanding.
