hey guys , my specs are as follows

Dell Dimension DIM3000
intel®
Celeron® CPU 2.40GHz
2.39 GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM

I have 2 Maxell 250 Gig hard drives

I run winodws xp home and I run Linux (bleeped if I know what version)

I had a room mate living with me for some time. He installed his HD into my machine, set it up to run both XP and Linux, then decided to bleep off without paying rent. He locked his linux with a pass that I can not figure out, so I can't even log into it.

I'm wondering if there's a way to wipe both Hd's completely clean of both OS's ?

Preferably I'd like to remove the linux and leave the windows, but honestly theres so much bleep going on here that he set up that I do not understand that I wouldn't really mind starting fresh either.

I have 2 hard drives.

I do not know which has Linux on it.

I wouldn't mind wiping both honestly.

I like using the Knoppix CD to wipe Linux partitions. Boot it up with Knoppix and then use fdisk. Set it as a W95 file type and you'll be able to get at it with windows.

Fdisk that ex roomate also.
