When ever I click on a link in an open website or even try to open an e-mail attachment I get next to the cursor a small stopsign with a white hand in the center and i can't go to the link or open the attachment. This just started by itself and I can't seem to find a way to correct it. Probably a very simple fix but I don't know what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Have you checked to see if you have the latest Java update? Click on start/ control panel/ click on coffe cup icon for Java/ update tab/ check for update. Then remove ALL but the latest Java programs from the Add/Remove list.

I saw a program once that a stop sign icon would pop up in if memory or drive space was low.
Another possibility, it could be some sort of restriction applied by a security program.

None of those are probably related to your problem but here is a bump and if you do figure it out, please post back.

From your description, it sounds as if you have an over-active popup blocker.
The next time you click on a link, hold down the ctrl key at the same time you click on the link.
If it opens, then it is indeed a popup blocker.
Check the settings, you may be able to set it to another security level. (High, medium, low-each one is different so you'll have to root around for the settings)
