I'm afraid I've gotten a virus or two. I have Computer Associates Online virus protection from sbcglobal and had turned it off when I received some tech support for a new printer installation in which I was having problems. Once I realized that I had forgotten to turn the virus protection back on, I new boot up and receive messages regarding various infections. Virus that are recognized are the following:

clspring
matefender
vundo

I've run Adaware, Spybot, and PC Tools Spyware Doctor and I'm having to clean up each and everytime I boot up. I also went throught the tutorial posted about getting ready to post a hijackthis log and installed Sygate Firewall.

I am currently blocking the following files scprot4.exe and rundll32.exe.

I have downloaded hijackthis and when I run it I get the following response:

"Hyjackthis.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created"

Please Help!! I'm not sure what to do next.

Thanks in Advance.

See info for removing Click Spring/Outerinfo in link below.

Try renaming Hijack This before running it. Find the HJT.exe and right click on it. Choose rename and name it lastchancescan.com. Then double click on the .exe to run it.

Be sure to post the HJT log in the HJT Forum. DO NOT post the log in this forum.
