My son's SanDisk Cruzer Micro 2 GB USB flash drive becomes very hot to the touch when he puts it on the computer. I am reluctant to let him keep using it. Any ideas what the problem is? It is not heavily used and the over heating was not a problem with it early on.

The computer he uses it on the most is a HP Pavilion using Windows XP.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Well it's no conclusion but I read thru 112 reviews of the device at Amazon and there were 3 mentions to it getting hot. Perhaps other users of it may chime in with hands on experience.
