Hi,

I've got a Sony Vaio 2 GB flash disk. When I connect in USB port, it is recognizing as a disk and allocated drive letter. But when I tried to open the drive, it is showing "No disk in the drive...". How can I solve this problem?

Rgs,

Sreeram

Is it a new drive? You may need to format it before you can use it.. Did It come with any software?

Hi,

It was working fine but somebody formatted this and so it became like this. There is no software available with this disk. If someone knows any software to make it working, please post here.

Well...if it worked B4 formatting...the solution seems clear to me. Disk Management or My Computer beckons.

Of course, that doesn't do much for saving data on there but 2GB of data is sure to be found duplicated somewhere else (I hope).

ok, I don't need the data back but I need the drive to start working again. When I tried to open the drive after formatting by somebody, it is showing "No Drive..." but still showing in My Computer.

XP: Go to Start...Run...and type in "diskmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Vista: Go to Start and type in "diskmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter

Scroll down in the bottom pane until you get to the USB drive and let us know what it says. The small block on the left contains info about the drive itself. The block to the right of that contains info on the partition and file system on the drive.
