I really don't to do this, cuz I'm sure something wonky will happen to the computer like the last time
Mainly it is because my Movie MAker 2.1 is missing transitions and effect and cannot merge clips together
and I stupidly install Movie Maker 2.0 so it overwrite the 2.1
I finally found the answer for the problem, but, since 2.1 isn't avalible for separate install(stupid Microsoft!)
a reinstall of sevice pack is the only choice
is there another why to do this?
and no,plz don't suggest another video editing program,i try many software and I hate them all!!
so plz help me!!

Hello DarkNight,

You might want to look at the following thread:

"How to Reinstall Windows Movie Maker":

http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/windo...ows-Movie-Maker

Depending on how you installed XP Service Pack 2, you might need to locate the Movie Maker file on your hard drive (e.g., at "C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\") or use the XP SP2 CD.

this would seem to apply to your case, read carefully

personally I would only run xp with sp2 as a repair disk or a clean install

I do not like applying a service pack to an existing install of the OS, there's too many things that screw up

You will need to reapply service pack 2 to fix your mistake with movie maker 2.0

2.1 is not a seperate download approved by microsoft, it's their baby and their right

well the installing moviemaker 2.1 without reinstalling sp2 seems to have come to a dead end

for the other software to supplement it might be better to post in another subforum in a new thread, but you need to clarify exactly what you are trying to do

video work is extremely complex and diverse, MM2 is great for video capture from DV for beginners
