Hello from Belgium,

I've a Vista X64 working on my computer after a corruption comes with a simple USB product, I want to restore my computer with all fixes and program.

I've make a full restore image from the backup and restore center.

When I try to use the recovery console with the DVD, It's says that he cannot restore a X64 arch. with a X86 program...
I've only a X64 OS on my computer and the DVD containt all of the Vista operating system, So I think that the DVD install and the following program "recovery console" work on X86 base...

1) How should I launch the X64 recovery console?
2) Is that possible to add "the computer has preinstalled recovery options" on the F8 menu for having "Advanced Boot Options screen" on it ?
Or if it's not possible could I extract manually the files from the backup archives and replace it on the C: drive?

Thanks a lot for your light ,
Roger

AFAIK, the Recovery Console is not an option in Vista ( http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/e...9470351033.mspx )

Are you referring to the System Options Recovery menu in Vista? Have you tried this procedure: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/e...5e1033.mspx#EVD
