We just implemented a way to find posts that may have been over looked. We apologize for that and if you are still having a problem, which we hope you are not, then post a new log.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

hi,
thanx for finally getting back to me..
well my problem is not as bad now as before. i reinstalled windows ME (just wondering whether you would recommend i install XP over ME??) and the .dll errors have gone except now when i try to shut down from start>shutdown i get a blue screen that says "windows protection error" system halted, you need to restart your computer (along those lines anywayz). was wondering what is causing that. i am currently using AVG free ed, Anti Virus Gaurd 9x, adaware person ed, pc bug doctor, security task bar and spy bots search and destroy to regularily scan for adware and viruses. i usually find a few minor things, sometimes a few trojans or browser hijackers but even when i find nothing and the sytem is supposedly "clean" i can have this problem when i shut down. and it doesnt always happen sometimes i can shut down normally, however it is most likely to happen if the computer has been on for a while...?? i am quite confused by this matter, lol so any help would be much appreciated... just in case i have also included a Hijack this log....

thanks
CeL

I would definitely install xp on your machine over ME. Me is notoriously buggy and was an interim operating system fro windows 98 to windows xp. XP is a very good operating system.
