Hey,

I would like to log what my brother and sister do as they install software that can destroy the system (the boot files have been deleted before due to a virus).

What FREE Software is there that I can use and that won't be picked up by Norton Internet Security 2007?
Also are there any Windows tools that will work?

We have Windows XP Home.

Thanks

Thanks figgis for the link to the Makor Geeks site.

I can't find anything regarding what I want!
Please could you either tell me what catagory it would be in or give me another site which has logging software on?

Thanks
deanpcmad

Hi deanpcmad,

I wouldn't be trusting ANY free keylogger that I found on the internet.

Since this is a shared computer, the Microsoft Steady State tool (used to be the Shared Computer User Toolkit) may be of help here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/...ss/default.mspx

The tool only works in XP right now - but Microsoft is working on a version for Vista.

The beta for Vista is available here: http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsToolsan...0&SiteID=69

It directs you to this link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

You might want to have them use a non-admin account so that they cant install anything, if this a viable option for you.
