HI I'm barthy ,an expat from England!
I found this forum by chance I was "Googling" for information on Vista " Ready boost"

I have been using the computers since the days of " Prestel" way before the days of the internet my fist PC was running windows 3.11 for Workgroups, how things have moved on or dare I say moved backwards!

I'm finding Vista a bit of a pain in the .... I think the best OS is still good old windows XP, but here I am with this new PC and in Germany Vista is the norm..

Could you tell me how you got started in computing.

What was your first computer?

many thanks

Welcome to BC!
My first personal computer (outside of mainframe experience at work) was the fabulous Vic20.
