My son managed to get a virus on his computer, so I am here for help getting rid of it. I am a reasonably competent computer user, but not that knowledgeable about the internal workings, so I thought I'd better get some help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi lemer, to Bleeping Computer.

Please check out the New User Orientation section to help get familiarized with how the board works.

There is also a really good Tutorials section that has lots of useful information.

Again, Welcome to Bleeping Computer, a friendly user community. We hope your stay here is enjoyable.

Simply create a new topic in the appropriate forum (which in your case is the HijackThis Logs forum) and the members here will help you with your problem.

It might be a good idea to post about your problem in the Am I Infected? Forum, and give as much information as you can so our Members can help you get rid of it. I would also have your son help you so he learns that getting a virus is comparatively easy, but getting rid of it is often very difficult.
