Printer Problem Print Cartridge

Hy ! i am new to this fourm. I have this prob with my printer hp All-in-one 1315. that it dos'nt print. A light on the printer keep lighting up that check printer cartridge. i thought that the cartrigde was empty so i bought a new cartrigde both colour and black. and installed it but still it says to check print cartridge. and it do not print anything,scan or even copy. can any one tell me what the problem is and its solutions. i shall be thank full.

Try cleaning the contacts on the cartridges and where they contact the machine. With a cotton swab and some alcohol

In my limited experience, many printer problems are solved by uninstalling the vendor software/drivers...rebooting, then reinstalling same.

Are you using original HP cartirdges or 3rd party ones?
If all else fails, hit the reset button.
