Quick question.

Quite often after updating Spybot, WinPatrol jumps up and asks if I want to approve changes to my Hosts File. Of course I always do, but where does Spybot get its updates from? Is this adequate or would it be better to go with the MVPS list?

I think this is a rather important matter for those concerned with their online safety.

Cheers

Please don't use the SpyBot HOSTS file as it is basically redundant - WinPatrol is supposed to monitor your HOSTS file, when you update it, "tell" WinPatrol to allow the change.

Thanks for this, siljaline. I also appreciated the instructions on the site for adding to the hosts file in Vista. It used to be so simple in XP!
